IMPORTANT UPDATE:
As of 1st January 2024, New update for the students who want to study in Canada will need to take care of the following points during their Visa Application in IRCC:
- From 2024, the student will need to show that they have $20,635 in funds available with them excluding the first-year tuition fees and travel costs. This applies to the students who apply for student visas on or after 1st January 2024.
- The students who are already present in Canada or the existing students who have already submitted their student visa applications are eligible to work off-campus for more than 20 hours per week until 30th April 2024.
- Another important update for International students who start their studies before September 1, 2024, can still use online study time to qualify for a post-graduation work permit, as long as it’s less than half of their program.
- Three times, a short-term rule gave extra time (18 months) for post-graduation work permit holders when their first permit ended. Students whose post-graduate work permits ending by December 31, 2023, can still apply for this extension. But after that, this special rule won’t continue.
