The travel limitations do not apply to international students who have valid study permits or who had their applications for study permits granted on or before March 18, 2020. Before you may board your aircraft if you’re going by air, you must pass a health examination given by the airline. COVID-19 symptoms will prevent a person from travelling by plane to Canada. Before you leave the port of entry when you arrive in Canada, we will evaluate your health. Even if you do not have any symptoms, you must isolate for 14 days. This is required. Your eligibility for the Post-Graduation Work Permit (PGWP) Program won’t be impacted if COVID-19 forces you to switch from an in-person format to an online-only one for your in-class courses.
