The UK government stated on March 11th, 2020, that starting in October 2020, the Student Immigration Health Surcharge (IHS) will increase from £300 to £470 annually. The proposal also raises the reduced rate for Tier 5 Youth Mobility Scheme (YMS) migrants and dependents of students from £300 to £470.
Additionally, the fee will be £470 for any minors under the age of 18. Although it doesn’t seem like the cost of applying for a UK visa will go up in 2020 or 2021.
